In de lente kwam Lucinda Williams aanzetten met Runnin’ Down a Dream, een eerbetoon aan de muziek van Tom Petty. Het eerste deel van tijdens de aanslepende pandemie periode in de studio tot stand gekomen projecten rond een bepaalde thema of songcyclus van een artiest. In de zomermaanden werd een tweede deel van ‘Lu’s jukbox Series’ uitgebracht, Southern Soul toont de affectie voor de door R&B en gospel geïnfecteerde soul uit het Diepe Zuiden van de VS waarbij de onnavolgbare, invloedrijke sound van Muscle Shoals en Memphis een dominante rol speel. Bob Dylan mocht uiteraard niet ontbreken, zonder Bawbs verrichtingen vanaf de vroege jaren zestig en zijn latere exploten was...
