De coole Nederlandse jaren vijftig en zestig in jazz vastgelegd door het Gentse sdban, al vele jaren het beste label voor dit soort coole compilaties. Jazzfans Lander Lenaerts en Stephan Raab maakten voor het label met Hip Holland Hip een 18 tracks tellende topverzamelaar die een erg mooie blik biedt op die twintig jaar in Nederlandse jazz. Hoe goed en tongue-in-cheek kan een titel gekozen zijn, en hoe goed passen de tracks die door Lenaerts en Raab daarbij verzameld zijn.
