Dit is het vijfde luik van Lu’s Jukebox, een rond een bepaalde artiest of specifiek muzikaal thema opgebouwde reeks liveregistraties die tijdens de Coronaperiode  van 2020 noodgedwongen in de studio tot stand kwamen. De van een beroerte revaliderende zangeres focust op de wellicht, weerom in mineur en beperkte kring te vieren, eindejaarsfeesten. Zo’n kerstplaat resulteert niet zelden in een eerder kleffe over sentimentele bedoening. Bij Lucinda Williams is dat geenszins het geval, naast de van Chuck Berry bekende riffs van Run Run Rudolph trekt de door roffelende drums en luide gitaren aangedreven punkrocker Merry Christmas (I Don’t Wanna Fight Tonight) van The Ramones de aandacht.
