Conditionering zeker zoiets? Na een paar noten Placebo al direct aangename roes proeven, de broeierige opwinding van festivalweiden? Dat gevoel, nu dus ook met de onverwacht glorieuze terugkomst van een daar altijd overweldigende headliner, met huidige kern, het duo Brian Molko en Stefan Olsdal. Lijkt het zelfs alsof ze wel helemaal nooit zijn weggeweest. Edoch hier komen ze, tot veler verrassing en goed negen jaar later, toch met een oersterk album op de proppen, dertien pakkende rocksongs alweer, gegarandeerd goed voor een boeiende gloednieuwe setlist. Ze hadden naar verluidt gewoon weer zin om, eens de neuzen in de goede richting, als groep volop vooruit te kijken. Niet dat hun serieuze...
