Er zijn maar weinig creatieve duo’s in de popmuziek die het zo slecht met elkaar getroffen hebben als Curt Smith en Roland Orzabal. Ooit zullen ze het prima met elkaar hebben kunnen vinden, anders start je geen bandje. Maar naar mate de jaren vorderden blijft de relatie zacht gezegd stroef. En dat is zonde, want als ze de neuzen dezelfde kant op krijgen, dan is het resultaat na al die jaren nog altijd erg fijn, getuige ook weer The Tipping Point, de eerste Tears For Fears in bijna 18 jaar. Hun vorige was tamelijk ironisch Everybody Loves A Happy Ending getiteld, want het tweetal had het toen na jaren hommeles...
