Met de meesterlijke albums Aromanticism (2017) en Græ (2020) liet Moses Sumney ons kennismaken met zijn wonderlijke, verrukkelijk avontuurlijke muzikale wereld. Een verbijsterend groot talent bood zich aan. Moeiteloos zet hij zijn zegetocht voort met Live at Blackalachia. Sumney trok met zijn band in de zomer van 2020 naar de Blue Ridge Mountains in het westelijke North Carolina om daar in 2 dagen in totaal 14 songs van voornoemde albums, live op te nemen, zowel op geluidsband als op film.
