Je moet het maar kunnen; als gitarist je mannetje staan en in tenminste drie bands je kwaliteiten inzetten, of, om precies te zijn, ingezet te hebben en daarnaast ook nog eens een studio runnen en tijd te vinden muziek te schrijven en te spelen waar jij helemaal warm voor loopt. Als gitarist bij Frost*, Arena en It Bites alleen al, droeg John Mitchell al de nodige creativiteit bij aan de ontwikkeling van de hedendaagse progressieve muziek. Met Lonely Robot onderstreept hij zijn creatieve impulsen en met dit album laat hij daarnaast ook nog eens horen hoe zeer hij gegroeid is; zijn teksten zijn sterk persoonlijk en John schuwt de emotie...
