Houdt het zeer gehypte The Last Dinner Party tegenover het overheersende gitaargeweld stand. Het uit Londen afkomstige vijftal is theatraler, bombastischer, zachter, vrouwelijker dan alles wat op dit moment op alternatief gebied uitkomt. Logisch, want in The Last Dinner Party is geen ruimte voor mannen, maar om hier over een feministische girlpowerband te spreken gaat mij net te ver. Zangeres Abigail Morris, bassist Georgia Davies, toetsenist Aurora Nishevci en de twee gitaristen Lizzie Mayland en Emily Roberts tekenen al bij het grote Island records voordat debuutsingle Nothing Matters verschijnt.
