They Hate Change is een hiphop duo uit Tampa, Florida bestaande uit Vonne en Andre. Al jaren maken ze echt huiskamerproducties. Lofi, vol oldskool synthesizers en drumcomputers. Soms uit zich dat in modernere trap- en cloudrap producties en soms een ouderwets jazz sampletje. Niets nieuws onder de zon, horen we jullie denken. Maar interessanter wordt het als de twee zich echt verdiepen in lokale en internationale electronic cultuur en daar ene draai aan geven. Om een lang verhaal kort te maken heeft die niche Florida  danscultuur – met genres zoals Jook, Miami Bass en Florida Breaks – een grote overlap in sound met de UK electronic en hiphop culturen.
