Staat ze dan ineens toch volop in the picture, de Londense Raye, aka Rachel Keen. Wordt ze gevraagd voor de meest gerenommeerde tv-shows, mag ze de grootste festivalpodia op, zo ook Rock Werchter straks...Maar ze hielden ze daar bij Polydor voorheen wel eerst een aantal jaren aan het lijntje. Terwijl ze eigenlijk al veel eerder thuishoorde in het rijtje van Beyoncé, Winehouse, SZA, Rosalía, Monáe, FKA Twigs en consoorten. Tijdens een lange kwakkelperiode van ter plaatse trappelen, met een sussend epeetje hier en daar, ging haar ster desondanks toch hoger stijgen, want Raye beleverde als componiste en songwriter intussen al kleppers als Beyoncé, John Legend of Ellie Goulding.
