Op basis van zijn laatst verschenen album An Ever Changing View reisde Manchester trompettist Matthew Hallsall met zijn band het afgelopen jaar eerst zijn thuisland en Europa rond om concerten te geven. Op die tour had hij een EP te koop die nog even wat extra aandacht verdient. Dat het schrijfproces voorafgaand aan zijn laatste album een schat aan nieuwe muziek opleverde was al eerder duidelijk. Hij gaf zelf al aan dat maar een deel van die nieuwe muziek op An Ever Changing View verzameld was. Met de Bright Sparkling Light EP komen er nu drie van die tracks naar buiten en ze zijn al net zo sterk als alles...
