MAD! is het achtentwintigste studioalbum van Sparks. De broers Mael zijn als Sparks al meer dan een halve eeuw actief en blijven heerlijk geïnspireerd en vitaal. Het mooie van een band als Sparks is dat er zoveel creatieve vrijheid is dat er eigenlijk nooit sprake is van platgetreden paden of voorspelbaarheid. Do Things My Own Way, de titel van eerste single van MAD!, is eigenlijk het credo van Sparks. En het is ook nog eens een puike track: machinaal, theatraal en poppy.
