PJ Harvey laat met haar nieuwe album niet alleen Engeland op zijn grondvesten schudden, de hele muziekwereld zal weten dat zij weer een nieuw meesterwerk heeft afgeleverd. Het is haar 8e reguliere studioalbum sinds zij met Dry in 1992 op fraaie wijze van zich deed spreken.  Daarna volgden vele uitstekende albums waarvan To Bring You My Love (1995) en Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea (2000) de meeste indruk maakten. Voor het laatste album ontving zij zelfs de prestigieuze Mercury Prize. Haar laatste album, White Chalk, stamt alweer uit 2007 en bevat louter spannende piano-songs.
