Josephine Foster's nieuwe album Faithful Fairy Harmony heeft vrijwel geen raakvlakken met de huidige tijd, op Challenger na waarschijnlijk, alsof je ergens een oude tape terugvind, van voor zelfs de Eerste Wereldoorlog. Folk van vervlogen tijden, zelfs de opnametechniek doet oud aan. Ook de keuze van de instrumentatie is anders dan gemiddeld. Tja, wat hoor je dan precies? Moeilijk te zeggen, maar laten we het beschrijven als een trektocht door verschillende Amerikaanse staten, waar op zoek wordt gegaan naar vergeten cultuurelementen van wel bekende muzikale stromingen.
