Paul Weller gaf in oktober 2018 twee concerten in de Royal Festival Hall te Londen. In deze grote zaal langs de Theems liet hij zich begeleiden door The London Metropolitan Orchestra. Centraal stond de muziek van zijn meest recente album True Meanings, een fraaie, ingetogen plaat die zich door de volop aanwezig strijkers natuurlijk uitstekend leende voor een uitvoering met orkest. Weller heeft natuurlijk een gigantische hoeveelheid podiumervaring maar dit was toch wel iets speciaals, temeer daar hij maar beperkt tijd had om met het orkest te kunnen arrangeren en repeteren.
