Een heel opvallende jazzrelease op de laatste Record Store Day waren de op dubbelvinyl/dubbel CD verzamelde VARA Studio Sessions die de legendarische trompettist Chet Baker in 1979 maakte met twee verschillende bands in het voor- en najaar. Opnamen die hij maakte voor het lang vergeten radioprogramma Nine O’Clock Jazz. Baker speelde er twee keer een klein uur lange set met verschillende bands. Met in de eerste band pianist Phil Markowitz, bassist Jean-Louis Rassinfosse en drummer Charles Rice en in de najaarsband pianist Frans Elsen, bassist Victor Kaihatu en drummer Eric Ineke, een band die dus gewoon voor tweederde Nederlands was.
