Je kan nog zo het publiek vanuit het podium omverblazen, met zo’n zelfverzekerde houding en overtuigingskracht de menigte inpakken, als iedereen tevreden huiswaarts keert sta je er als artiest zijnde helemaal alleen voor. In die grote steden ben je dan gewoon een nietig klein personage. Nergens houvast, continu achter de massa aanlopen. Courtney Barnett blijft die leuke grappige indiepopper, die zich met het hoge ogen gooiende Tell Me How You Really Feel definitief op de kaart zet. Maar dan volgt de stilte en het verplicht pandemie binnenhuis blijven. De verhaaltjes schrijven zich niet meer vanzelf uit, omdat Courtney Barnett van achter de geraniums in een glazen huis vensterbankkluizenaars muurbloempje transformeert....
