Met hun aardedonkere in grunge doorweekte postpunk sound eist Goat Girl een plekje in de alternatieve rockscene op. On All Fours is nog vooral het verhaal van de met drugsverslaving worstelende frontvrouw Lottie Pendlebury en de aan de ziekte van Hodgkin lijdende gitarist Ellie Rose Davies, die mede daardoor in een vroeg stadium afhaakt. Helaas heeft de band nog steeds genoeg gespreksstof en staat op Below the Waste tussen de regels door de non-acceptatie van de seksuele lesbische geaardheid van drummer Rosy Jones op de voorgrond. In 2024 hoort dit geen issue meer te zijn, al het voorwerk dat halverwege de jaren tachtig is verricht, is tegenwoordig tot een horizontale...
