Het is mooi om te zien dat de zesde plaat van Doves een feit is. De band moest zijn tournee voor de vorige plaat The Universal Want (2020) annuleren omdat zanger/bassist Jimi Goodwin worstelde met zijn mentale gesteldheid. Dat was een klap voor de band en de fans want de plaat verscheen elf jaar na voorganger Kingdom of Rust en de beloftevolle nieuwe fase in de carrière van de band kwam hiermee snel tot een eind. Voor de fans op het Europese vasteland, die de band maar zelden hadden kunnen verwelkomen, betekende dit wederom een album zonder tournee in de regio, zij het dat de reden deze keer aanmerkelijker treuriger...
